McGregor Memorial

I would categorize my fascination with Minoru Yamasaki somewhere between a healthy appreciation and obsession.  Anyhow, I took the opportunity to explore a number of his works at Wayne State University, going inside some for the first time.  Anyone who has been in or around his architecture probably understands what I mean, but it is a special type of experience.  He had a deep understanding of what makes people feel at ease, and put it into practice any chance he got.

Fair warning: I plan on visiting his work throughout the years in different seasons and in different light, so this is definitely not the last time you will see me here.
